Artist's Comments

One of Michiko-rose's deviations [link] .

It was done on lined paper, probably intermediate pad. I was curious if I could clean it up in PS. This is how far I got without compensating the detail of the sketch. I know there has to be a way to get rid of the indentions! But I still lack the knowledge to do that! ^^;

This is cool! why don't you try sampling some of the colors around the indentions and slowly applying them until they're gone. It's really hard and painstaking to do and you have to be careful to let the filled in spaces go smothly with the pic, but it is possible to do.

Yes, because it's not mine. I just wanted to see if I could clean it up, then I posted it for Michiko-rose, the original creator, to see.

Check the link above for the original sketch.

There are concepts like race, gender, age, background, and many other boundaries that attempt to separate human beings from each other.

As artists, however, we are but one.

Ngayon ko lang naisip, pero baka gumana yung smudge tool para ma-smoothen out yung mga indentions!

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. But God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

do you have photoshop? because i think you might be able to use either the stamp or the clone tool to help with deleting lines like that, but it will take a super-long time. still, great job with the clean-up!
:iconjdan-s:
Yep, I used Photoshop for this. I don't know how to effectively use those tools yet so I didn't get to try! ^^; But I was also considering the smudge tool.

Anyway, I just wanted to see if it could be cleaned up a little! I just got stuck with the lines!

you did a good job, especially since there was shading involved. but i would recommend playing around with the stamp tool, it works pretty well for this kind of thing.
