So yes, Twilight's gonna be a princess by the end of season 3. Hence all this alicorn drama right now. I have my own worries and speculations about what's gonna happen to the show, but I'll reserve my judgement until after I've seen what happens.
Frankly, I'm suprised at how the fandom is taking this issue. Yes, a lot of people are expressing how this major change upsets them with regards to what's gonna happen to the show from here on. But that's about it - they complain and leave it be. No one's really going out of their way rise up against Hasbro or the Hub. And on the other hand, quite a few are already warming up to the idea of Twilight being a princess herself, and the powers/responsibilities that go with it. And the rest, they just have fun with it!
Stay awesome, Bronies!
SHES A PONY!
AHA! They changed the format (again)!
This picture is now obsolete!
i got it
I thought out slogan was love and tolerate XD
I am very tired that Celestia and Luna waste they powers by ruling and doing paper work, never helping, and I do not want Twilight to be like that, I want her to use her new powers in her usual save the world adventure, use her new powers to save her friends from another big danger, there is no need to make villains non lethal like Nightmare Moon, Discord and Chrysalis, they can be lethal as long as heroes will have something to defend themselves.
So yea, I hope she will stay in ponyvile and do what she do, same good old Twilight, but to keep her powers or even better, to gain new potential ( as Unicorn she almost reached her limits in magic, as Alicorn she can develop her powers even more, she can learn to fly like pegasus and train her strength and endurance like earth pony ), j as long as she wont change her job and location and wont be separated from her friends I am fine with it.
Oh, hilarious pic, by the way.
1. Twi in sense, deserves this. Celestia has been prepping her for a long time as her student and we've all contemplated what her end game was. Now we know and also have a clue about alicorns come to be...But why? And what's next?
2. Twi will have to struggle with getting used to her new body and all the complications that it brings (Metaphor of/Hidden lessons about adolescence if ever there could be one). All her friends can be involved helping her. Rainbow and Flutter teaching her to fly (And the sheer comedy of her crashing into walls, buildings, etc!), Rarity at first taking advantage of her as the high class of Canterlot try to rub noses with the new Princess, then doing the right thing and helping Twi out. Applejack teaching her to harness the Earth Pony part of her new Alicorn body (With funny results) and Pinkie....teaching Twi some of her' toon powers, now that Twi has the mojo to pull them off! Plus the fact that Twilight's inherent magic will be more powerful has potential for drama/comedy as she tries to keep it in check.
So, yes. I support this, even if it's Hasbro's excuse to keep the toyline going. Have faith in the team behind the show. Look what they did with Cadence, Shiny and the Royal Wedding. (An excuse by Hasbro to have a "Barbie" and a "Ken" pony) This story could be good!
Bonus points for you!
