Cyberia Heart 3D

I haven't uploaded any new drawings in weeks. Let's just say 2017 was off to a rocky start and I didn't really feel motivated/inspired. I still felt the need to do something creative eventually, so I started tinkering with Blender again and ended up finishing this model for Cyberia Heart!

She's created from the same base as Niho's model. It was easy enough to model the white plates following the body's geometry. I've also gotten the hang of managing materials, textures and UV maps. But it was her asymmetric, swirly Rapunzel mane and tail that gave me a hard time! I had problems translating her 2D hair into 3D space, but I managed to model something suitable.

She has a basic but fully working rig by now, and all the materials and textures are in place. She also has a handful of facial expressions based on shape keys, but I still need to figure out how to work with expressions for her LCD display eyes since she's not supposed to have eyebrows or eyelids! Also, I'll have to experiment a bit more if I want to apply physics and collision detection to her mane and tail.
